Leachate Storage

LEACHATE STORAGE   The JetMix system effectively suspends settled material, significantly reducing tank cleaning costs.  The system is also used to reduce icing within the tank.  The robust pattern that JetMix produces is ideal for this environment and the JetMix system provides an unexpected bonus.  Landfill operators, owners and designers have chosen JetMix for their tanks because of the low initial cost and effective performance.  Less energy is required compared to other types of mixing and maintenance is minimal.  Circular tanks are ideally suited for this mixing system.  Large tanks are mixed with the same ease and low expense as small tanks
CORROSION RESISTANT DESIGN   The submerged parts of the mixing system are available in materials that will stand up to the unexpected elements found in landfill leachate applications.  The nozzles can be fabricated in stainless steel, PVC and other plastics.  The piping can be provided in PVC, HDPE, stainless steel among others.  The action of the mixing system keeps the tank interior clean.  Removing corrosion from the tank interior provides longer life and less maintenance costs.   SIMPLIFIED CONSTRUCTION   Since the JetMix system uses a pump for mixing, a second pump is not needed for outloading of the tank.  The mixing pump can be used as a dual purpose unit.  This approach eliminates equipment and saves on maintenance.  Piping and controls are not complex so construction proceeds rapidly.   This industrial installation uses an outer tank for secondary containment.  The mixing pump is located in the space between the tanks.  A simple on/off control station is provided for the trucker who hauls away the leachate.  The pump is started and then the outload pipe is connected to the truck.  The truck can be filled by opening the valve.  The mixing system will continue to operate while a portion of the flow from the mixing pump is diverted to the truck.  When the truck is filled and the fill pipe disconnected, the mixing system is turned off.  The ability of JetMix to develop a good mixing pattern in a short period of time makes this a good choice.
